Hi I’m Joshua Wiles
I am from Naperville, Illinois and currently enrolled as a senior at Columbia College Chicago. I have been doing work in production for 7 years now since high school. I was enrolled in production classes for all four years making short films, documentaries, music videos, and commercials. I got into live event shooting as well during these 4 years and have tech directed and directed live shoots for award ceremonies and events. Even winning an 5th place in MMEA’s Live event non-sort category for our shoot of Neuqua Valley’s Variety Show.
As for current day, I am majoring in Film and Television with a concentration is Post-Production and my expected graduation date is May of 2027. I originally went into film school wanting to be a picture editor for movies and television but soon realized it didn’t quite fit. I then took up Post-production audio and everything immediately it clicked. Since then I have done ADR, Foley, Foreground & Background SFX, Mixing, and lots of Dialogue editing across 4 short films which are still going applying for festivals.
Speaking of dialogue a lot of my past and current work revolves around dialogue. I have been the podcast producer and editor for Retro Rock Round up for 6 years and have delivered over 500 episodes. For My2tor I’ve been a content and podcast editor for years and have shot, directed, and edited commercials for social media marketing.
Throughout all my years in experience and across all types of projects I have gotten a real great grasp of where I am currently and where I still have improvement to be made. I am prepared for any projects that are throw my way and love to learn and adapt to whats next. I am soon heading off to Los Angeles through Columbia College Chicago to reach further for my career and hopefully land a life and career down there
